(Again answering a question from Tim at Muse Forge.)
-I'm trying to keep these short - 2 minutes... so I did a little editing. -If you have any questions you want addressed - feel free to drop me an email!!!
This is great, and so helpful (as always)! As a follow-up...I know it doesn't happen that often in NYC, but what would your suggestions be for more "cattle call" type auditions up there? Or is it rare enough that it's not really worth addressing?
Hey Lisa, Well open calls happen, like, 10 a week. So there's always one for something...
Is your question in terms of dress, or just general guidelines for how to handle a cattle call?
That's a great topic for another blog entry. I'll get on that for next week. But in short, the answer is sing what you love, wear what makes you feel confident, and remember that these auditions are MUCH more about developing a relationship with the Casting Directors than booking that particular job.
Any stuff you or your students want addressed, just drop me a comment of an email.
